Buddy heater and carbon monoxide

Living in a Winter Survival Shelter – Buddy Heater & Carbon Monoxide

In this video, I dive into my experience using the Mr. Heater Portable Buddy aka the Buddy Heater. This little powerhouse is a favorite among outdoor enthusiasts from campers and hunters to RV adventurers. It’s compact, portable and runs on propane making it a go-to for staying warm in the wild. But the big question is: Is it safe to use indoors?

Let me be clear my setup isn’t your typical indoor scenario. I’m in a hand-built Winter shelter with plenty of ventilation. That said, I do believe the Buddy Heater can be safe indoors if you have ample space around it and excellent airflow. Proper precautions are key, and I’ll walk you through how I use it responsibly to avoid any “heated” situations (pun intended).

But it’s not all about staying warm. I also head outdoors to hunt for some wild critters to cook up for dinner. There’s nothing quite like a fresh foraged meal to round out a day in the wilderness.

So, whether you’re curious about the Buddy Heater, looking for tips on staying warm in the wild, or just want to see how I fared in my dinner hunt this video has a little something for everyone. Let’s get cozy and explore the great outdoors together!
