I have had many questions on my Chicken hoop house and folks seem to be interested in how the chickens fared through Winter. This Winter the coldest temperature I saw was -17 degrees, with regular temps in the single digits and teens. In This video, I answer some of the questions I received regarding keeping chickens in Winter, collect a few fresh eggs and give a coop tour.
I realize that I’m quite late to the game, but I’ve just come across your videos when researching scribing. I plan to be a homesteader and I found your videos to be extremely helpful. I’m a bit worried that you haven’t posted anything new. I hope that you are doing well and this year has brought you many blessings and opportunities.
Hi Romey. Thank you for your concern. All is well, I have had to make some changes in my life… I will be providing an update video update in the coming months explaining what has happened. All the best to you and your plans to homestead. Thank you.
I’m am so glad to know this. Looking forward to hearing more.
Thanks Darren. Glad you enjoyed the video, all the best to you.
Love the Chickens! We have 8 as well but 2 are roosters, they sure keep us in eggs. After watching your video I did a little search and found this site that may have some good tips for keeping your chickens water from freezing. http://www.fresheggsdaily.com/2013/10/five-easy-ways-to-keep-your-chickens.html
Hope all is well, one day at a time is all we can do.
