The first few months spent in my Winter Survival Shelter were a little challenging to say the least. Let’s just say the Mr Heater Buddy I was relying on for heat was a little less than ideal… enter the Cubic mini wood stove. Thanks to a few of my subs on YouTube who brought the Cubic Mini to my attention.

Cubic wood stoveI have lived through Winters relying on wood stoves for heating and cooking before and as far as I am concerned NOTHING beats wood heat. Granted I have never owned a wood stove that looked like a Barbie Doll playhouse accessory but despite it’s size this little stove is the real deal complete with a fire brick lined interior and all the controls you would expect to find on a typical wood stove.

My review of the Cubic Grizzly mini wood stove

mini wood stoveThe Cubic is very easy to install and set up. The stove arrived with clear installation instructions,  there is an optional floor pedestal mount and wall mount accessory that allows you to mount the stove directly to a wall. I also received a mini fireplace tool kit for the Cubic Mini perfect for poking around the fire box and maintenance.

Cubic mini dtove pipeThe chimney pipes I received were really impressive, excellent quality stainless steel and double walled with fiberglass mat insulation between the walls. I also received the shingled roof exit kit which was pretty easy to install granted I did not have a “typical” roof to exit… more like a log pile roof!

Cubic Grizzly mini wood stoveThe Cubic mini works much like any other wood stove. You can control the air flow both in and out effectively dampening down the burn when necessary.  It might be mini but this little fella burns just like the big boys.
